The CoGavi vaccines alliance which is a public-private partnership which is backed by the bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the WHO, the World Bank, UNICEF, and others have announced that they managed to raise 567 million dollars towards an initial goal of $2 billion from international donors for an Advanced Market Commitment to buy future COVID-19 vaccines for those poor countries. This would help secure enough vaccine doses for the virus and they will help to immunize healthcare workers and those who are in the frontline and at high risk. Singapore is planning to give a wearable device that will identify people who had interacted with carriers of coronavirus to all of its 5.7 million residents, in what could become one of the most comprehensive contact tracing efforts globally.
