06.03.2020 THE DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE Daily Analysis
The Dow closed yesterday almost losing 1000 points again. At $26121.80 the Dow is slightly $500 up from where it started on Monday but still, this isn't much improvement considering the dip that's it had taken previously. What's the real reason why the Dow is going down? Everyone says the Coronavirus epidemic but is the Coronavirus really the issue? Is the whole thing being blown out of proportion? Because if the Dow is down almost 4% then that generally means the economy is averagely 4% down. Investors seem
to be scared stiff because of the disease with some states like the state of California and the WHO literally declaring a state of emergency. Just how serious is the Wuhan virus and for how long will this go on? At this rate, the Dow will be going lower considering that it's already Friday and there's nothing to indicate otherwise. If the Dow closes on a negative note today then it will be the seventh Friday in a row that it closes negatively. Last time the Dow performed this way was in 2006 when it consistently lost points for 8 Fridays consecutively.
Things might get better over the coming days though because with the United States Congress injecting $8.3 billion to combat the virus and the WHO and Governments the world over starting to address the issue, things will get better.
