Intel today is trading at $ 54.13 it went down with $0.22 from $54.35.
This is mainly because Tencent, which is a Chinese multinational conglomerate holding company and the largest games publisher in the world, announced that it will be working with Huawei to power its gaming platform. Tacent started developing a gaming platform with Intel in late 2018 and the service was initially called (Instant Play) during demons and was rebranded as (Start) when beta tests started in China last April.
However, according to some analysts, the reason why Tacent is now working with Huawei is mainly that Chinese companies are developing domestic chips to reduce the country's dependence on American technologies. Therefore Installing Huawei's Kunpeng chips into cloud service could keep the company in the government's good grace. More so Tacent is probably testing out different hardware configurations, including a combination of Intel, Kunpeng and NVIDIA chips, for various types of games so as to expand its platform. This, therefore, made Intel shares to go down because it means there is going to be more competition for Intel.
