10 percent of Borsa Istanbul will be sold to Qatarians! 10 percent of Borsa Istanbul will be sold to Qatarians. An agreement was made for the transfer of a 10 percent share. According to the news published on Investing.com, 10 percent of Borsa Istanbul will be sold to the Qatar Investment Authority. After the 6th meeting of Turkey-Qatar High Strategic Committee there was a signing ceramony with Turkish Welfare Fund (TVF) and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). An agreement was signed for the transfer of the 10 percent share of Borsa Istanbul. The agreement was signed today by TVF CEO Zafer Sönmez and QIA CEO Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud at a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex. The agreement in question also includes the cooperation between the two parties in the upcoming periods for the governance of Borsa Istanbul. Currently, TVF positions itself as the largest shareholder of Borsa Istanbul with a share of 90.6 percent. After the share to be transferred to QIA, the investment fund of the State of Qatar, TVF will be positioned as the owner of 80.6 percent of Borsa Istanbul. According to Turkey's Asset Fund, Borsa Istanbul's potential and this agreement also stands out as an indicator of public faith in the future for both funds.       Source: investing.com
