USD/JPY is going down with 0.89 from 105.63 to 104.75. This is because the USD is getting stronger against the JPY. The USD is getting stronger against JPY due to the promise made by Donald Trump at the press conference that was held concerning measures to be taken regarding coronavirus. Donald Trump said a fiscal package was forthcoming and he promised to cut the payroll tax. This strengthened the USD against the JPY although JPY financial markets have the support of Bank of Japan (JPY). More so, US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin also said the White House would meet with bank executives this week, this is a sign that the US government would roll out measures to cope with the virus.
