The Dow Jones is headed for the worst weekly performance since the week ending March 20. So far this week the Dow is down 2%. However, on Thursday the Dow ended the session by gaining 377 points and closing at $23,625.34. This still hasn't recovered the losses made in the previous Wednesday trading session of 516.81.
This improvement came as the Dow was pushed up mainly by stocks from the Financial sector such as American Express Co. which went up by 7.40%
The Stock market has gone a little bit higher on Friday trading session as investors await some data set to be released today including the Industrial production m/m which is the change in the inflation-adjusted value of output produced by manufacturers, mines and utilities and data from Business Inventories m/m which is the total value of well held in inventory by manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers.
