The Covid-Warn-App, now available for Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Android devices, uses Bluetooth short-range radio to measure close contacts between people and issues a warning should one of them later test positive for COVID-19. The European Commission received an instruction that they need to abide by from EU governments on Friday which was ordering them to negotiate advance purchases of promising coronavirus vaccines. The bloc is scrambling to sign advance deals with pharmaceutical companies to secure coronavirus vaccines under development, fearing a successful shot might not be available for Europeans soon enough. The EU health ministers are going to support the commissions by giving them an emergency fund 2.7billion dollars to buy the vaccines for the coronavirus.
