2.8 Billion Lira Was Saved With e-Document Application   2.8 billion lira was saved with the e-Document application. When over 28 billion documents were edited electronically, approximately 2.8 billion Turkish lira was saved. According to the information obtained from the Revenue Administration under the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the e-document applications that the institution has implemented with the e-invoice application as of 2010, over the years also brought many new applications such as e-archive invoice, e-self-employment receipt (e-SMM), e-producer receipt (e-MM), e-waybill and e-ticket.   Thanks to the regulations made by the Revenue Administration, participation in e-document applications is increasing. Currently, approximately 300 thousand taxpayers benefit from the e-invoice application, 281 thousand from the e-archive invoice, 80 thousand from the e-waybill, 185 thousand from the e-self-employment receipt and 24 thousand from the e-producer receipt application. With these applications, the environment and nature are protected due to the decrease in the need for consumable materials as well as providing cost savings to taxpayers in transactions such as paper, stationery, mailing and archiving by transferring documents arranged with paper to electronic environment. Over 28 billion documents have been edited and sent electronically since the application was launched. Thus, when it is calculated that a cost of 10 cents per document will be incurred in terms of all processes such as paper, printing, transmission, archiving, accounting in the paper document layout, it was seen that approximately 2.8 billion lira cost was saved. At the same time, 380 thousand trees were prevented from being cut down as a result of this savings.
