2021 Minimum Wage in Turkey Will Be Determined Today
The minimum wage for 2021 in Turkey will be determined today. The minimum wage increase, which millions of employees are eagerly waiting for, will be finalized today.
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its fourth and final meeting today. After the meeting, the minimum wage for 2021 will be announced.
The Commission held its first meeting online on December 4, hosted by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services.
Parties Notified Their Requests
Confederation of Employers' Unions of Turkey (TISK) and the Confederation of Labor Unions of Turkey (Turk-Is) met twice more. In these meetings, the parties conveyed their minimum wage demands.
Turkish Statistical Institute (
TurkStat) shared the figures of a worker's minimum subsistence amount during the third meeting.
Minimum wage according to the announced figüre of TurkStat; was 2 thousand 792 for the heavy business line, 2 thousand 507 for the medium business line and 2 thousand 339 TL for the light business line.
The Workers' Section Was Not Satisfied With The Number In Question
The amount announced by TURKSTAT did not satisfy the worker representative Turk-Is. The statement made by the Turk-Is was stated that announced

Announced Today
The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services will host the last meeting to be held on December 28 (today). Following the meeting chaired by Minister Selçuk, the minimum wage to be applied in 2021 will be shared.
