The world's second biggest-biggest mobile operator, Vodafone (L:VOD), recruited Jean-Francois Van Boxmeer, the current CEO of brewer Heineken (AS:HEIN), to be the successor of Gerard Kleisterlee as chairman from November this year.
On July 28, the British company said Van Boxmeer will be joining as a non-executive director. Since 2005 he has been Heineken's CEO and by June he will be handing over his role to his successor.
