S&P 500 is trading at $2,447.33 (+9.38%). The White House and Congress reached an agreement on the $2 trillion stimulus deal and they are set to vote later today. This deal aims to limit the impact of Covid-19 on the US economy. This is the largest rescue deal in US history. This stimulus plan includes sending $1,200 checks to Americans, creating a $367 billion loan program for small businesses and setting up a $500 billion fund for industries, cities and states, and $130 billion for hospitals. Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer said, “ Help is on the way, big help and quick help. We’re going to take up and pass this package to care for those who are now caring for us, and help carry millions of Americans through these dark economic times.” S&P 500 jumped 9.38% which is it`s biggest one-day percentage jump since 2008.
