According to the information obtained by the AA reporter from the data of the
Revenue Administration, in 2019, a report with 25 thousand 425 fines was issued about 46 thousand 703 taxpayers in the audits for the accommodation and alcoholic entertainment sector and 47 million 899 thousand 306 liras was fined.
During the audits for regional trips and extreme activities sector, 793 penalty reports were issued about 1024 taxpayers, and 839 thousand 935 liras were fined.
During the inspections for the healthy life and personal care service sector, 3 thousand 629 penalty reports were issued about 8 thousand 201 taxpayers. They were fined 2 million 983 thousand 550 TL.
In addition, 10-day audit studies were carried out on foreign taxpayers operating in Adana, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Mersin, Şanlıurfa and Kilis. As a result of the inspections, 3 thousand 112 reports were drawn up about 14 thousand 796 taxpayers, while the penalty given to them was 2 million 242 thousand 810 TL.
On the other hand, payment recording devices connected to pumps at fuel stations were also inspected. In this context, 39 thousand 373 inspections were carried out at fuel stations across the country and 7 million 443 thousand 720 liras were fined.
'' Banded Product Tracking System '' Is Implemented
In order to ensure tax security, the Revenue Administration implements the "Banded Product Tracking System" for the tracking of manufacturers or importers operating in the sector of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages.
In 2019, the number of inspections conducted by taxpayers for labeled products reached 62,110.
While the number of
alcohol and tobacco products inspected was 22 million 765 thousand 166, the number of taxpayers reported to the prosecutor's office during this period was 5 thousand 619. The special irregularity fine imposed on them was 4 million 382 thousand 701 liras.
It was determined that 22,881 of the alcoholic beverages reported to the prosecutor's office were without banderole and 414,51 of them were imitation.
1 million 735 thousand 963 of tobacco products were without banderole, 5 thousand 731 of them were imitation banded, and 3 thousand 262 of them were misleading.
