73.6 Trillion Yen Incentive Package from Japan
While the effects of the
coronavirus epidemic continued, an incentive package statement of 73.6 trillion yen came from
Japan.
Wanting to prevent the negative effects of the coronavirus epidemic that occurred in Wuhan, China, Japan announced an additional financial stimulus package worth 73.6 trillion yen ($ 705 billion).
The package will include a set of fiscal measures worth 40 trillion yen ($ 383.7 billion), while the package will be partially funded with a third additional budget of 19.2 trillion yen.
5.9 trillion of the 40 trillion yen package is for the measures to be taken against the effects of the coronavirus epidemic, 18.4 trillion for the structural economic changes after the epidemic, 5.6 trillion for disaster management and reduction, 5 trillion for 2020 reserve funds, another 5 trillion will be used for 2021's reserve funds.
When the funding in special accounts is added, the extra budget expenditure for the measures will find 20.1 trillion yen.
