78 Percent of People Ready to Work on the Metaverse!

Ciena Corporation conducted a survey of more than 15,000 people from countries around the world. According to the survey results, 78 percent of people want to work through the Metaverse.

The pandemic is not thought to have had any positive impact on the world. However, it has helped in one respect. During the pandemic, many people prepared for the digital future. The Metaverse may not be the 3D world that has been promised to us for 40 years at this point. But slowly, humanity is starting to move towards it. And according to research, most people are ready to participate in it. A recent study commissioned by Ciena Corporation surveyed more than 15,000 workers from countries such as Japan, India and the United States to see their comfort level working in a digital world. The study found that the majority of respondents understood the value of virtual meetings. More importantly for humanity, a surprisingly high number of workers expressed a desire to participate in immersive experiences like the Metaverse. The study notes that people are tired of existing tools like Zoom and Skype. It also shows that they would rather move on to something new and more exciting. This marks a major shift in the way work is viewed. Just a few years ago, the idea of working in a digital world was considered unprofessional by many. But with the pandemic, opinions seem to have changed.

Is the World Ready for the Digital Change?

Entertainment and games in the Metaverse do not define the concept of the Metaverse. The research found that 38 percent of respondents believe that unreliable network performance is holding organizations back from making the transition to the digital world. People also complain a lot about Zoom meetings where the audio cuts out or the video is delayed. This is definitely not a good experience. About 71 percent of people believe that the Metaverse will become part of normal business practices in the next decade. In addition, 40 percent think that business will move from the physical world to the digital world. Some countries are more prepared for the Metaverse than others. Globally, 87 percent of professionals have no problem conducting HR meetings in the virtual world. In India, surprisingly, 97 percent of workers report being ready. Also in Japan, the figure is 57 percent. This is a surprising percentage, given that Japan is often considered a technologically advanced country. The study found that there is still a way to go before working in the Metaverse. Poor networking is the biggest problem hindering full adoption of the digital future. After all, there is no point working in a virtual world if the connection is always lagging. Service providers have informed the market that they are aware of this demand. And in the meantime, they are working on solutions. Follow Global Economic Developments on Social Media! Click here to follow Ieconomy official Facebook account!
