A deficit of 7 billion 363 million TL in February..!
In the monthly budget realization report announced today, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance stated that the budget deficit is below 3 percent of the GDP, and the target of the primary balance to GDP is 3 per thousand at the end of the period.
In February 2020, central government budget expenditures were 93.5 billion TL, budget revenues were 86.1 billion TL and the budget deficit was 7.4 billion TL. Primary budget expenditures were 79.3 billion TL and the primary surplus was 6.8 billion TL.
The central government budget posted a deficit of 16 billion 775 million TL in February 2019 and 7 billion 363 million TL in February 2020.
In February 2019, 2 billion 71 million TL primary deficit was made, while in February 2020 6 billion 800 million TL primary surplus was given.
Central government budget expenditures have been 93 billion 499 million TL as of February. Interest expenditures were 14 billion 162 million TL, and non-interest expenditures were 79 billion 336 million TL.
In February 2020, 93 billion 499 million TL was spent from the appropriation for the central government budget expenditures estimated at 1 trillion 95 billion 461 million TL. Last year, 83 billion 737 million TL was spent in this period.
February budget expenditures increased by 11.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The realization rate of expenditures according to budget appropriations was 8.7 percent in 2019 and 8.5 percent in 2020.
Non-interest budget expenditures increased by 14.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 79 billion 336 million TL. The realization rate of non-interest expenditures according to budget appropriations was 8.2 percent in 2019 and 8.3 percent in 2020.
The latest statements are as follows;
Central government budget revenues have been realized as 86 billion 136 million TL as of February. Tax revenues were 71 billion 729 million TL and general budget non-tax revenues were 9 billion 385 million TL.
In February 2020, tax revenues collection increased by 24.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 71 billion 729 million TL. The realization rate of tax revenues according to the budget estimate was 7.6 percent in 2019 and 9.1 percent in 2020.
In the January-February period of 2020, central government budget expenditures were 194.2 billion TL, budget revenues were 208.3 billion TL and the budget surplus was 14.1 billion TL. In addition, primary budget expenditures were 167.3 billion TL and the primary surplus was 41 billion TL.
While the central government budget posted a deficit of 11 billion 684 million TL in the January-February period of 2019, it recorded a surplus of 14 billion 139 million in January-February 2020.
While primary surplus was recorded as 10 billion 299 million TL in January-February 2019, 41 billion 46 million TL in primary surplus was provided in January-February 2020.
Central government budget expenditures have been realized as 194 billion 168 million TL as of January-February period. Interest expenditures were 26 billion 908 million TL and non-interest expenditures were 167 billion 260 million TL.
In the January-February period, 194 billion 168 million TL was spent from 1 trillion 95 billion 461 million TL appropriation for central government budget expenditures. In the same period of last year, 175 billion 597 million TL was spent.
