The Advertisement Board, which is under the Ministry of Commerce, held its 318th meeting via video conference. As a result of the meeting, the members of the board gave opinions and evaluations on about 200 files. Out of 200 files that were decided by the Board regarding various sectors, 186 of them were considered to be against the legislation. It was decided that the promotions of 14 files were not against the legislation. A suspension penalty was imposed on 128 of the files found in violation of the legislation, and an administrative fine of 6,923,147 liras was imposed on 58 files. It was decided to postpone two files.

Penalty for discount sales campaigns

On the other hand, among the discussed files, there were also discounted sales advertisements, which were handled sensitively within the scope of the works of the Advertisement Board, and which were periodically made under the names such as "Legend Friday" and "Wonderful Friday Discounts". While 2 of the 55 files in question were not found to be against the legislation, it was decided to impose a suspension penalty on 33 of them and an administrative fine of 3,658,448 liras on 20 of them.
