U.S. President Joe Biden said that price increases are expected to be temporary, adding that his administration is aware that uncontrolled inflation will pose a challenge to the economy in the long run and will be on the alert for any necessary intervention.
Speaking at the White House, US President Joe Biden shared his evaluations on the country's economy.
Pointing out that the US economy experienced the highest growth in nearly 40 years in the first 6 months of his administration, Joe Biden said that now the economic growth forecasts have been doubled and the economy is expected to grow by 7 percent or more.
Pointing out that the US is the only developed country with stronger growth forecasts than before the epidemic, Biden said that the number of unemployment claims has decreased by more than half since he took office.
Joe Biden said, "Some have expressed concerns that this may be a sign of persistent
inflation. But that's not our view. Our experts and data show that most of the price increases we see are expected to be temporary."
