According To IMF This Year's Most Important Economic Policy Is Vaccination
According to IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva this year’s most important economic policy is vaccination.
IMF (International Monetary Fund) President Kristalina Georgieva stated that in an environment where countries are trying to recover after the coronavirus crisis, vaccine policy is more important than monetary and financial policies.
Georgieva said, "This year and possibly next year, vaccine policies will be much more important than fiscal and monetary policy."
In April, the
IMF said "there is a light at the end of the tunnel" regarding the coronavirus pandemic crisis and revised its growth forecasts for the global economy upwards with high vaccination and monetary support.
The IMF's global growth forecast for this year was 6 percent, and 4.4 percent for the next year.
Last month, the IMF proposed a 50 billion dollar vaccine package to vaccinate 60 percent of the world's population by 2022.
