Additional Convenience For Transit Procedures In Exports

There is an additional convenience for transit procedures in exports. Trade Minister Pekcan announced the details.

The "Easy Export Points" project was implemented in order to enable exporters to open declarations with zero bureaucracy, to provide better quality service and to reduce the workload of customs. Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan stated that they have added a new one to their projects such as paperless export, pre-arrival customs clearance, customs clearance for exporters, and authorized buyers, with the mission of "making Turkey the easiest, fastest and most reliable address of trade" in the world. Stating that they have significantly reduced the transit procedures in exports by keeping the security at the highest level with this project, Minister Pekcan noted that exporters are given the opportunity to start the export declaration from their offices by selecting the nearest customs directorate and to load their goods directly from the factory and send them to the facilities of the authorized shipper.

Minister Pekcan made the following statements:

"Therefore, it will not be necessary to open a transit declaration, apply a seal, visit the customs directorate or take documents, the carrier will be able to collect the export goods along the way with the same system. Document control will be carried out electronically, and if necessary, physical control will be carried out at the facilities of the authorized sender." Stating that they made it possible to transport export cargoes to target markets more easily with Easy Export Points, Minister Pekcan said, "We have provided operational conveniences by facilitating export cargo transportation and cargo consolidation at a lower cost."
