Aid of 1.7 Million Dollars from Japan to War Victim Ukraine

Prime Minister of Japan Kishida Fumio announced that they will provide 1.7 million dollars of emergency humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which is having a hard time under the Russian occupation.

Japan announced that they would provide new aid after the calls to increase humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which was occupied by Russia. It was stated that the emergency humanitarian aid package of 1.7 million dollars to be provided by Japan will be delivered to Ukraine through the United Nations Project Services Office (UNOPS). While Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa noted that his country will continue to act with the international community to support Ukraine, it has been stated that more than 8 million people have been displaced in Ukraine, which had a difficult time after the Russian attacks, according to the statements of the International Organization for Migration. In addition, the number of Ukrainians accepted by Japan increased to 1055, according to the data of the Migration Services Agency.
