Amazon and Apple are the most valuable brands in the world
The most valuable brands in the world are Amazon and Apple. However, Chinese brands are starting to approach the leaders from the USA, which are more valuable than the top European brands, the report of the consulting company Kantar BrandZ showed.
Amazon, founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, remains the most valuable brand this year, with an estimated value of $ 684 billion (€ 574.89 billion).
It is followed by Apple with $ 612 billion, Google with $ 458 billion and Microsoft with $ 410 billion. The most valuable Chinese brand is in fifth place by the Chinese concern Tencent (USD 241 billion) and
Alibaba (USD 197 billion) is seventh.
According to BrandZ, Graham Staplehurst, head of global strategies, Chinese brands are constantly and gradually advancing, supporting their own technological development and being able to capture major trends in the Chinese and global markets.
Five brands have more than doubled in value over the past year, led by Chinese online sales companies Pinduoduo and Meituan and China's largest alcoholic beverage producer Moutai, TikTok and Tesla in the United States.
Tesla was the fastest growing brand, rising 275 percent year-on-year to $ 42.6 billion and becoming the most valuable automotive brand.
According to Kantar, the 100 largest brands have a total value of 7.1 trillion USD. Of this, up to 74 percent is from US brands. To
China, 14 percent, which has already overtaken Europe (8 percent).
A year ago, European brands accounted for 20 percent and Chinese for 11 percent.
The most valuable European brand is the French Louis Vuitton (21), followed by the German concern SAP (26). The only British brand is Vodafone (60).
