Amazon.eth ENS Domain Name Received 1 Million Dollar Offer!
Recently, an anonymous buyer made a $1 million bid for the ENS domain Amazon.eth. This astonishing bid comes after domains like Samsung.eth and Starbucks.eth sold for 60 ETH (around $90,000). The bidder's wallet holds a number of ENS domains, including xxx.eth and bagner.eth. At the time of writing, the current owner has not yet accepted the offer. Notably, the domain was purchased about five months ago for 33 ETH (about $102,000). If this deal goes through, it would mean that the current owner would make a net profit of 1,000 percent.
ENS Domain Sales Continue to Increase!
Recently, there has been a growing interest in Ethereum Name Service domains despite the bear market. Some attribute this to their natural utility in facilitating crypto transactions. In addition, the value of these domains could appreciate even further in the future. Earlier this month, an investor paid 300 ETH for 000.eth. At the time, 300 ETH was worth approximately $320,000. Currently, this sale is the second highest valued eth domain.
The most valuable ENS domain is paradigm.eth. Paradigm.eth sold for around $1.5 million in October last year. It is also interesting to note that when paradigm.eth was purchased, everyone thought that the company had made the purchase. However, the company later announced that they did not make this purchase.
What is Ethereum Name Service?
Ethereum Name Service is known as Ethereum Domain Name. According to the description on their website, ENS is a distributed, open and extensible naming system on the Ethereum Blockchain. In other words, it allows users to create a simple name for all crypto wallet addresses. To explain in more detail, a typical crypto or NFT wallet address consists of long numbers and letters. The combinations of these letters and numbers are very difficult to remember. This makes transactions a tedious process. In addition, these long addresses can lead to losses due to small errors.
