Amazon’s Brand Value is Over $ 400 Billion!
According to Kantar’s data released on Tuesday, Amazon has retained its position as the world’s most valuable brand, increasing its value by almost a third compared to last year, to $ 415.9 billion.
BrandZ ranks the company by combining market values with the annual Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands with the research of more than 3.8 million people worldwide.
Apple ranked second on this list, at $ 352.2 billion. This was followed by Microsoft, which made Google the third most valuable brand in the world this year with $ 326.5 billion. According to the report, this rise is due to the increased use of Microsoft Teams collaboration software with home workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
While the coronavirus outbreak caused a decline in March, the share prices of online businesses like Amazon dropped. In addition, the e-commerce giant’s response to the outbreak was criticized.
According to Kantar, while Alibaba ranks sixth on the BrandZ list, with an increase of 16 percent compared to the previous year, with a level of $ 152.5 billion, JD.com’s brand value increased by 24 percent to $ 25.5 billion.
In the report, this research was evaluated as “Brands that enable people to get comfort with digital devices, generally increase their value or at least perform better”.
According to BrandZ chief David Roth, brands are in a better position to recover from this financial crisis than 2008-2009. “Businesses understand the importance of investing in the brand, and as a result, they become stronger and more durable,” CNBC said in a statement.
