With 1 million followers, BAYC has cemented its place as one of the top collections. In comparison, the CryptoPunks collection, which is just as well-known as BAYC, has 245,000 followers.

Bored Ape Yacht Club was created by Yuga Labs, the company that recently acquired Cryptopunks. The collection is a 10,000-piece NFT collection. In December 2021, BAYC surpassed Cryptopunks' base price of 60 ETH on OpenSea. This event was dubbed 'the flipping'. Since then, they have never fallen back.
