Apple Plans to Produce Cars Apple plans to produce cars. The US technology giant will turn to driving technology in 2024. According to the news on the Reuters, Apple aims to produce passenger cars in 2024 while turning to autonomous driving technology. In this vehicle, it is envisaged to use Apple's own battery system. Following this news, Apple's shares rapidly appreciated, while electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla's shares fell by approximately 6.7 percent. The European Union Commission noted that in a study published in the previous period, it was aimed to have 30 million electric cars in use by 2030. In the report, it was stated that there will be at least 30 million electric cars and 80 thousand zero-emission trucks on European roads by 2030. In this context, it is aimed to spread autonomous vehicle technologies. In addition, the UK government had banned the sale of gasoline and diesel cars and trucks from 2030, 5 years before planned, in order to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2050, within the framework of what Prime Minister Johnson called the "green revolution". On the other hand, Uber stated that all vehicles in the application will be electrified by 2040.
