While the declines in the Nikkei 225 Index in Japan reached 2 percent, the Topix Index lost more than 1 percent. The South Korean Kospi Index also fell.
Earnings were seen in the Chinese stock markets at the beginning of the week. Shanghai and Shenzhen Composite Indices gained over 1 percent.

Central Bank of China (PBOC) kept the annual interest rate constant at 3.85, it kept the five-year interest rate at 4.65, keeping it unchanged in the 11th month.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index was trading with 0.47 percent gain.
