Asian stocks were mixed due to the data from
China. Asian markets started the week with a mixed outlook after the release of China's official manufacturing sector purchasing manager index data.
While the Shenzhen and Shanghai stock markets in mainland
China recorded a slight decline, the Hong Kong stock market followed a selling course.
China's manufacturing sector purchasing managers index was announced at 51 in May 2021. The same index was realized at 51.1 in April.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 and Topix indices experienced a slight decline.
Retail sales in Japan increased by 12 percent in April compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the region, Australia followed a horizontal course, while South Korea's Kospi regressed slightly.
MSCI Asia Pacific Index excluding Japan increased by 0.1 percent.
