Automatic Transmission Car Sales Increased 76.3 Percent in One Year
Automatic transmission car sales increased 76.3 percent in one year. Automatic transmission automobile sales increased from 184 thousand 218 units in the same period of 2019 to 324 thousand 825 at the end of October, and the share of automatic transmission cars in the entire market reached 69.9 from 68.6 percent.
Turkey in the automatic transmission car sales in January-October period of 2020 showed a 76.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to reports prepared by a correspondent of the
Association of Automotive Distributors (ODD) by leaning on the shared bus, car and light commercial vehicle market in Turkey, compared to the same period of the 10 months of 2019, this year was recorded as 588 thousand 354 units expanded by 78.1 percent.
When automobile sales alone are examined, 465 thousand 31 units increased by 73.1 percent in the 10-month period compared to the same period of 2019, while the light commercial vehicle market increased by 99.7 percent to 123 thousand 323.
Market Share of Automatic Transmission Cars Is Rising
The increase in automatic transmission vehicle sales in the said period also attracted considerable attention.
At the end of October, automatic transmission
cars had a share of 69.9 percent with 324 thousand 825 units, while the share of cars with manual transmission was recorded as 30.1 percent with 140 thousand 206 units.
In the ten months of 2020, 7 out of every 10 cars sold were automatic.
In the January-October period of 2019, the share of automatic transmission cars in the total market was recorded as 68.6 percent, while the number of sales was determined as 184 thousand 218 units.
Thus, automatic transmission automobile sales in this period increased by 76.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
Automatic Transmission Captured E and F Segment
In terms of segment, ultra-luxury segment (F) and luxury segment (E) had the highest shares in their segment with 100 percent.
The E and F segment is the upper and middle segment (D) with 99.8 percent, the A segment known as the smallest city cars with 93 percent, the C segment, which is described as the compact class or lower middle class with 68.8 percent, and 56.2 percent. followed by the B segment, also known as the small vehicle class.
