Bakkt Will Launch Ethereum Transactions!
Cryptocurrency platform Bakkt will launch Ethereum transactions. The platform has been limited to Bitcoin until now.
Bakkt, one of the largest cryptocurrency companies in the United States, announced on November 5 that it will also include Ethereum (ETH) in its platform, which was previously limited to Bitcoin.
In the statement made by a company representative on the subject, the following statements were used:
“We have received all the necessary approvals and have already created the necessary technology to start offering Ethereum services on the Bakkt platform. These capabilities will be released on the platform in the next few weeks.”
As is known, Bakkt's platform allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies and send them to other platform users, but not withdraw them to third-party wallets. With Bitcoin and soon Ethereum also open to retail offerings, Bakkt will have derivatives trading and custody services available to institutional investors.
Digital asset platform
Bakkt recently announced that it will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and after receiving the necessary approvals, the company went public on the NYSE through a SPAC on October 18, 2021.
