Bank branches took a step towards normalization. A new move has come from banks that have reduced working hours.
Banks, which reduced their working hours as part of the new type of coronavirus
(Covid-19) epidemic measures, started to remove some applications with the decrease in the number of cases. Banks, which changed their working hours between 10 am-4 pm as a precaution in the period when the number of cases increased rapidly, started to change this decision. Akbank was the bank that made the first move in this direction. Notifying its new decision with a message to the customers of the institution, Akbank stated that as of Monday, January 11, 2021, it will start to serve at all branches between 9 am – 5 pm.
According to the information given by some banking sources to the Bloomberg HT channel, it is estimated that other banks will increase the working hours of the branches as 9 am – 5 pm during the week. On the other hand, it was informed that some banks will wait for the curfew restriction, which is until 9 pm, to be lifted in order to return the branch working hours to the old hours.
