According to information compiled by
Whale Alert, the first whale carried out three separate transactions, moving a total of 3,500 Bitcoins (about $ 113.2 million). All transfers were made in less than an hour. According to BitInfoCharts' latest rich list, the whale is ranked 13th among the largest Bitcoin holders on record. The 3 processes are as follows:
- 1500 BTC worth $ 48.6 million transferred from unknown wallet to Coinbase
- 1000 BTC worth $ 32.3 million transferred from unknown wallet to Coinbase
- 1000 BTC worth $ 32.3 million transferred from unknown wallet to Coinbase
The total transaction fee for these transfers was determined to be only $ 89.61.
Minutes after the first whale made its last transaction, a second whale sent 1,698 BTC worth $ 55.4 million to
Coinbase from an unknown wallet. This wallet was known as one of the richest wallets in existence before it was emptied and was at number 841 on the BitInfoCharts rich list.
Although these two Bitcoin pairs are looking to sell their cryptocurrencies on the most important stock exchange in the US, data shared by analytics firm Glassnode indicates that most Bitcoin holders continue to send their coins from exchanges to unsupervised wallets.
The number of addresses with a thousand BTC or more is also increasing. The number of addresses, which was 2 thousand 130 at the beginning of the year, reached 2 thousand 460.
