BIST 100 Breaks New Closing Record
BIST 100 breaks the new closing record. The
BIST 100 index gained 0.09 percent in
Borsa Istanbul and closed the day with 1,211.51 points.
The total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.10 points compared to its previous closing, was recorded as 21.3 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.54 percent, while the holding index lost 0.84 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the most profitable with 2.98 percent, while the highest loss was recorded in SME Industry with 2.54 percent.
BIST 100 index, which reached the highest closing of 8.5 months with 1,210.41 points on Tuesday, refreshed its record today and made its highest closing since February 6.
Stating that despite the ongoing uncertainties regarding the incentive package in the USA, the continuation of the negotiations increased the risk appetite, analysts said that the news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine supported the positive flow.
Analysts stating that the Central Bank of Turkey in the country tomorrow will announce the interest rate decision of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting will be monitored, while Eurozone consumer confidence and weekly unemployment claims in the US will be monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, if there are closures above 1.225 points, 1.240 points may come to the agenda, while 1.200 points are in support.
