BIST 100 Closed the Day With an Increase

In Borsa Istanbul, BIST 100 closed the day with an increase. The index closed the day at the level of 1.498 points.

In Borsa Istanbul, BIST 100 closed the day with an increase. The index closed on Thursday at the level of 1.498.32 points, gaining 2.14 percent. While the BIST 100 index increased by 31.32 points compared to the previous day's closing, the total transaction volume was recorded as 35.3 billion liras. While the banking index gained value by 2.02 percent, the holding index increased by 1.29 percent. Among the industry indices, chemistry, petroleum, plastic had the highest gain with 4.74 percent, while the only decline was recorded on communication with 0.14 percent. CBRT President Naci Ağbal emphasized that the tight monetary policy stance will continue until the inflation target of 5 percent will continue and, if necessary, additional tightening will be made, and this situation also supports the stock markets. On the last trading day of the week, foreign trade balance will be monitored in the country, consumer confidence index in the USA, PCE price index and growth data in Germany will be monitored abroad.
