BIST 100 Closed The Week With An Increase

BIST 100 closed the week with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.06 percent and finished the day with 1.557.39 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 0.90 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 19.9 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 0.20 percent, while the holding index lost 0.21 percent. Among the industry indices, financial leasing and factoring was the most profitable with 3.03 percent, while transportation was the most declining with 1.68 percent. Analysts stated that with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's announcement of the Economic Reform Package, the BIST 100 index positively diverged from the European stock markets. Analysts stated that the interest rate decision announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting in Turkey will be monitored next week, while an intensive data agenda including the US Federal Reserve (FED), Bank of England (BoE) and the Bank of Japan (BoJ) interest rate decisions will be closely monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that the range of 1.570 and 1.582 levels are in the resistance position and the range of 1.550 and 1.520 are in support position for the BIST 100 index.
