BIST 100 Closed Thursday With A Rise
BIST 100 index closed Thursday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2,133.59 points, gaining 2.14 percent value.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 44.79 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 33.2 billion TL.
At the closing, the banking index gained 1.42 percent, while the holding index gained 2.10 percent. Among the sector indices, metal main industry was the most profitable with 3.89 percent, and the most decline was recorded on tourism with 4.17 percent.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (
CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee left the one-week repo auction rate, which is the policy rate, unchanged at 14 percent.
The CBRT stated that the geopolitical risks that turned into conflict and the variants in the epidemic kept the downside risks on the global and regional economic activity alive and caused the uncertainties to increase further. The Bank of England (BoE), on the other hand, increased the policy rate by 25 basis points to 0.75 percent.
Analysts, who stated that the international investment position and foreign trade indices in the country, inflation in Japan, foreign trade balance in the Eurozone, and second-hand housing sales in the USA will be monitored closely.
It was stated that the level of 2,150 is in a position of resistance and the level of 2,090 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
