BIST 100 Closed Tuesday With A Rise

BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with rising. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2,188.81 points, gaining 0.63 percent value.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 13.78 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 33.3 billion TL. At the closing, the banking index gained 1.59 percent, while the holding index gained 1.03 percent. Securities and investment partnerships were the highest earners among the sector indices with 4.27 percent, and the most decline was recorded on metal main industry with 4.38 percent. Analysts stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine continues to have an impact on pricing, and said that the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) monetary policy stance also increased volatility. Stating that the statements of the US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will be at the center of the markets tomorrow, the analysts said that the consumer confidence index, labor force statistics and foreign trade indices in the country, consumer confidence index in the Eurozone, inflation in the UK and the housing sales in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 2.195 and 2.220 are in the resistance position, and the level of 2.130 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
