BIST 100 Closed Tuesday With An Increase
BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day at 1,809.65 points, gaining 0.05 percent.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 0.86 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 35.6 billion TL.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.43 percent, the holding index lost value by 0.02 percent at the close. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 6.14 percent, while the most decline was recorded on sports with 6.96 percent.
Analysts stated that the concerns that the Omicron variant, which currently causes travel restrictions, may bring about possible closures, increase the risks regarding the global economy, and said that different explanations about the effect of existing vaccines on the new variant also cause volatility in the markets.
Stating that the
Fed Beige book report will be at the focal point of the markets tomorrow, analysts noted that the manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) will be monitored closely, as well as ADP private sector employment in the USA.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.830 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.730 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
