BIST 100 Index Broke A Record During The Day

BIST 100 index broke a record during the day. Having reached 1,586 points today, BIST 100 set yet another record.

With the expectation that inflation will be high in the USA and parallel to this, the FED will increase interest rates earlier than the expected date, rapid increases in the US 10-year bond interest have been observed this year. The bond interest, which increased to 1.19 percent at the beginning of January, fell below 1 percent again, but started to rise again as of January 28. While the BIST 100 index started to lose value in parallel with the global stock markets, it dropped to the lowest level in the year with 1,433 points on January 28. The BIST 100 index, which saw 1,576 points in February, dropped to 1,444 points in the last week of the month, again with the rise in bond interest and the decrease in GOPs. In March, on the other hand, although the bond yield jumped above 1.60 percent, the movement in global markets was more limited. BIST 100 index also increased gradually to 1.550 and 1.575 points. The index, which went over 1,570 points again yesterday, tested 1,586 points with a 1 percent premium in the last hour today. This level was recorded as a new record in TL terms. While there is an increase in Borsa Istanbul today, BIST Metal Products&Machinery, BIST Sports, BIST Industry and BIST Holding&Investments are leading the rise, but on the other hand, BIST Banks cannot play a role in this rise, as they are slightly above the level they recorded at the opening.
