BIST 100 Index Closed The Day Horizontally

BIST 100 index closed the day horizontally. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.03 percent and finished the day with 1,408.14 points.

At the end of the day, BIST 100 index increased by 0.39 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 15.8 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 1.32 percent, while the holding index lost 0.37 percent. Among the indices of the sector, construction was the most profitable with 4.39 percent, while the most decline was recorded on leasing and factoring with 3.65 percent. Analysts stated that the positive data on economic activity and the US 10-year bond interest rate below 1.6 percent support the share markets on a global basis, and the effects of the increasing tension between the USA and Russia are being followed. It was stated that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s meeting and consumer confidence index data will be followed in the country next week, while the data agenda, especially the European Central Bank (ECB) interest rate decision, and the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide will be closely monitored abroad. On the technical side, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, the level of 1,440 is in the resistance position, while 1,390 and 1,360 levels are in the support position.
