BIST 100 Index Closed The Day With a Fall
BIST 100 index closed the day with a fall. BIST 100 index lost 2.30 percent in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day with 1.483.02 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index recorded a 34.84 point decrease compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 33.7 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost 2.94 percent, while the holding index lost 2.41 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 3.38 percent, while the most decline was recorded on metal goods and machinery with 4.40 percent.
Analysts stated that the positive news flow about the stimulus package in the USA and the US Federal Reserve (FED) Chairman Jerome Powell in his presentation at the senate yesterday stated that the economy is far from employment and inflation targets, but the sellers movement continues in the global stock markets.
The analysts stated that the summary of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and the economic confidence index data will be followed in the country tomorrow, and that the data agenda, especially the growth in the USA, will be monitored abroad.
On the technical side, analysts stated that in the
BIST 100 index, 1.470 is in support and 1.550 is in resistance.
