BIST 100 Index Closed The Day With An Increase

BIST 100 index closed the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 1.27 percent and finished the day with 1.511.43 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 18.98 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 29.8 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 1.23 percent, while the holding index gained 3.06 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring gained the most with 7.29 percent, while mining was the most declining with 2.25 percent. Analysts said that the positive atmosphere prevailed in the stock markets with the effect of the foreign exchange rates, which continued to decline as a result of the expectations for the fast-moving stimulus package efforts in the USA, the developments in the supply of vaccines in Europe. Reminding that inflation data will be followed in the country tomorrow, analysts stated that the ADP employment report in the US, the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide, and the inflation in the Eurozone will be monitored. In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.430 is an important support and 1.525 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
