BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with an Increase

BIST 100 index closed the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.35 percent and finished the day with 1,488.21 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 5.19 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 32.5 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 1.48 percent, while the holding index lost 0.26 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the most profitable with 4.12 percent, while the most decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 4.18 percent. Analysts said that the global risk appetite has increased, with US Federal Reserve (FED) Chairman Jerome Powell dissipating anxiety about inflation and bond rates. The analysts stated that the data of foreign trade statistics will be followed tomorrow and that the data agenda, especially personal income and expenditures in the USA and consumer confidence index, will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, 1.470 is in the support position and the level of 1.550 is in the resistance position.
