BIST 100 Index Closed The Day With An Increase
BIST 100 index closed the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.09 percent and ended the day with 1.528.82 points.
At the end of the day, the total trading volume in the
BIST 100 index, which gained 1.36 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 35 billion TL.
At the closing, the banking index lost 0.65 percent, while the holding index fell 0.16 percent. Among the industry indices, transportation was the most profitable with 5.87 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on mining with 4.44 percent.
Stating that Turkey is among the few countries that can close the year with growth during the coronavirus epidemic, analysts stated that the gradual removal of the tight measures taken, the recovery in the European economy, the largest export market, and the declining commodity prices support the stock markets.
It was stated that the progress of the bond markets and developments regarding the economic support package in the USA remained at the center of the agenda. Analysts stated that domestic inflation data will be followed tomorrow, while the data agenda, including the service sector Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), the Eurozone Producer Price Index (PPI), the ADP employment report in the USA, the Beige Book Report of the US Federal Reserve (FED) will be closely monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that if the
BIST 100 index is maintained above 1.505 points, 1.550 and 1.570 levels may be on the agenda.
