BIST 100 Index Closed The Week With A Decline
BIST 100 index closed the week with a decline. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 1.65 percent in value and finished the day with 1,393.24 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index decreased by 23.31 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 19 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost 1.53 percent, while the holding index lost 1.94 percent. Among the industry indices, the metal main industry earned the most with 1.39 percent, while insurance was the most declining with 4.34 percent.
Analysts stated that due to the tension between Russia and Ukraine, the sales of investors who do not want to take the weekend risk, the decreasing global risk appetite and the increasing number of coronavirus cases, markets ended the week with a decline.
The
BIST 100 index, which closed on Friday with a 1.65 percent loss of value, lost 2.58 percent on a weekly basis.
The analysts stated that the interest rate decision, current account balance and industrial production data of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will be monitored domestically next week, while the inflation in the USA and Germany along with China's first quarter growth data will be closely monitored abroad.
In technical terms, it was stated that BIST 100 index can be expected to continue its fluctuating course in the 1.390-1.440 band if it cannot achieve a permanence above 1.440.
