BIST 100 Index Closed Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 index closed Thursday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 1.13 percent and closed the day with 1.401.52 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 15.60 points compared to its previous closing, was recorded as 11.7 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 1.01 percent, while the holding index gained 1.59 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing was the most profitable with 5.66 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on tourism with 0.52 percent. Analysts stated that, despite a mixed course in global stock markets, the BIST 100 index moved in an upward trend and positively diverged under the leadership of bank stocks. The analysts reminded that tomorrow, the industrial production and Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Japan, the manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) in China and Japan, and the growth figures in Germany and the Eurozone will be followed. Analysts also stated that the company financial results continues to be announced, which will be decisive on investor decisions. From a technical point of view, analysts stated that a retention of over 1,400 points will be sought in the BIST 100 index, and if the index holds at this level, its upward movement may gain strength.
