BIST 100 Index Closed Tuesday with an Increase
BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2.011.35 points, gaining 0.70 percent value.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 14.02 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 37.5 billion liras.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.64 percent at the close, the holding index gained 1.19 percent. Among the sector indices, mining was the most profitable with 9.83 percent, while the most decline was recorded on transportation with 1.99 percent.
Analysts stated that the developments regarding the Russia-Ukraine war continue to be the main factor in investor pricing and said that the course of commodity prices is closely followed in terms of the management of inflation and growth-oriented expectations.
The barrel price of Brent oil, which started to rise with the statements that restrictions could be imposed on oil imports from Russia, saw the levels of 130 dollars.
In the news in the US press, it was reported that the US President Joe Biden is expected to announce that they will impose a ban on oil imported from Russia due to the Ukraine war.
In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.950 and 1.890 are in the support position and the level of 2.040 stands out as the resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
