BIST 100 Index Closed Wednesday With A Record
BIST 100 index closed Wednesday with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a 0.27 percent gain at 2,525.93 points, closing the highest of all time.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 6.69 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 44.2 billion TL.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.67 percent, while the holding index depreciated by 0.16 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring had the highest gains with 2.29 percent, and the most decline was recorded on metal main industry with 0.47 percent.
The BIST 100 index brought its highest level record to 2,536.49 points and its closing record to 2,525.93 points.
Analysts stated that a mixed course was followed in the global stock markets with the increasingly "hawkish" directions of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) members, the re-intensifying conflicts in the Russia-Ukraine war and the ongoing new type of coronavirus epidemic in China, said that the Beige Book Report to be released by the Fed will be monitored.
Analysts said that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (
CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee meeting summary, consumer confidence index, inflation in the Euro Zone, consumer confidence index, weekly unemployment applications in the USA, Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index data will be monitored closely tomorrow.
It was stated that the level of 2.550 is in a position of resistance, and the levels of 2.490 and 2.440 stand out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
