BIST 100 index closed Wednesday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 1.92 percent and finished the day with 1.427.06 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 26.84 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 16.8 billion liras. At the close, the banking index gained 3.06%, while the holding index gained 1.19 percent. While all sector indices experienced an increase, tourism was the highest earner with 5.38 percent. Analysts stated that global stock markets were mixed due to the uncertainties regarding the recovery in the economies after the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic and inflation concerns, and that the effect of reaction purchases in the domestic markets increased today after the sharp decline yesterday. Reminding that weekly money and bank statistics will be monitored in the country tomorrow, analysts noted that the growth in the USA will come to the fore on the data agenda abroad. In technical terms, analysts pointed out that sector and region-based divergences could continue, and stated that the level of 1.390 stands out as support and the level of 1.470 stands out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
