BIST 100 Index Ended Friday With An Increase

BIST 100 index ended Friday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.50 percent and closed the day with 1,422.06 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 7.03 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 15.2 billion liras. At the close, the banking index gained 0.37 percent, while the holding index gained 0.56 percent. Among the industry indices, trade was the most profitable with 3.72 percent, while the most decline was recorded on mining with 3.05 percent. Analysts stated that the BIST 100 index, which declined to 1,400 levels during the day, then started to rise with reaction purchases, and bank stocks led the rise. Reminding that the intensive data agenda will be followed in the coming week, including Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the country and non-agricultural unemployment data in the USA, analysts noted that the FED could be effective on monetary policy. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.390 is in the support position and the level of 1.470 stands out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
