BIST 100 Index Ended the Day Horizontally

BIST 100 index ended the day horizontally. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.02 percent and closed the day with 1,452.18 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 0.33 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 15.2 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 0.41 percent, while the holding index lost 0.74 percent. Among the industry indices, sports were the most profitable with 1.52 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on securities and investment partnerships with 1.54 percent. Analysts stated that global stock markets are seeking direction with uncertainties regarding inflation and monetary policies and growth expectations supported by the announced data. Reminding that the manufacturing industry capacity utilization rate and the real sector confidence index will be followed tomorrow, analysts said that abroad, the officials of the US Central Bank, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England, growth in Germany and the consumer confidence index in the USA are prominent. In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.440 and 1.390 are in support and the level of 1.470 stands out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
